Janean Acevedo Daniels, principal attorney in the Law Office of Janean Acevedo Daniels, has over 25 years of experience in employment law and civil litigation. Ms. Daniels represents employees in wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual and other unlawful harassment, whistleblower, breach of contract, and other employment-related cases.  She also counsels employees facing unlawful conduct in the workplace and other threats to their employment, safety, and well-being, and assists with employment contracts, job preservation, and exit strategies. In addition, Ms. Daniels represents individuals in select tort, contract, insurance coverage, disability, and personal injury actions.

Ms. Daniels also advises and represents employers in connection with employment policies, compliance, wage and hour, and risk management issues, contract preparation, and employee disputes. She also assists employers in responding to, and conducting investigations of, employee complaints and claims of unlawful treatment.

Jessica Hawley is our firm’s legal assistant. Jessica is a certified paralegal with over seven years of experience working with a variety of notable firms in Southern California and the Central Coast. Jessica has a thorough knowledge of administrative and civil complaint filing procedures, civil litigation and discovery rules and requirements, and alternative dispute resolution processes.  Jessica handles all client intake, office administration, and paralegal matters, and provides essential administrative agency, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other case and client support.  Jessica also facilitates communication with and on behalf of our clients with opposing counsel, agency representatives, medical providers, and various authorized third parties.
